Our goals

The main objectives achieved by IOT4.0yacht team:

  • Find new solutions: we have identified technologically innovative solutions, which can improve the level of efficiency of the processes and services offered within a monitoring infrastructure.
  • Consolidation in a shared architecture: we managed and shared navigation data with local and remote users, we developed sensors for the measurement of vibrations and stresses on board devices, we dynamically managed telecommunications equipment on board for the reliability and security of data transfer, we created a web user interface for the management or visualization of data and access policies.
  •  Implementation of a V&V plan: we reviewed verification and validation methodologies, techniques and tools in order to identify any technical and problematic gaps in the definition and implementation of the V&V procedures, according to the identified critical issues.
  • Integration and testing: the individual functional modules, made using both hardware and software elements, underwent integration activities aimed at verifying that each of them correctly performed the functions for which it was designed.
