An innovative approach proposed by IOT4.0Yacht for assitance to boats: a concrete objective of the project is the realization a wireless bluetooth LE (Low Energy) infrastructure used to collect data from single systems. This infrastructure could be also used in other IOT applications where is needed to acquire electric measurements or other kind of data that can be visualized and collected to be used by the on-board staff, for operative usage. For this reason, during the software development, a ModBus server within the data concentrator module was implemented. This will let, in the future, to connect with on-board minitoring and automation systems, also provided by third-parts, with a ModBus protocol (that represents an industrial communication standard used by the most of the AMS systems).
